Faye is the founder of DIYPI. Having spent 18 years in the legal industry, Faye has worked for various entities such as law firms, legal expense providers, medical agencies and claims management companies which enables DIYPI to have the experience to help clients on their entire legal journey.

Over the past 10 years Faye has built up a network of specialist law firms which enables DIYPI to work with the best legal brains in the UK.

Faye’s philosophy is simple – To help communities come together and fight for social justice, to stand up for people’s fundamental rights and to ensure that people are getting the best treatment and care by our team and network. Faye works tirelessly to ensure clients are getting the compensation they deserve for their suffering.

Dee James

Operations Manager

Dee has been working for DIYPI since the beginning, she has an important role assisting the Managing Director with all operations within the business. Dee oversees employee management, financial and accounting services as well as engaging with legal teams and clients to ensure the claims process is efficient and effective.

Before her role at DIYPI, Dee worked for 10 years as a staff nurse within the NHS, her role demanded a strong focus on prioritising care and addressing the needs of patients.

Dee is a highly empathetic member of the team and has strong knowledge in the medical sector. She is a team player and keeps the whole operation working smoothly to ensure the consistent provision of quality services.

Hedia Zadeh

Client & Solicitor Liaison Officer

Originally from Leicester, Hedia is currently studying business at Aston University. She lived in Spain for 1 year and worked as a sales and production assistant for a printing company.

Hedia is one of our longest serving team members with over 4 years customer service experience in a range of industries in addition to extensive sales and customer support training. Hedia is British-Iranian, and is bilingual speaking both English and Farsi, she is a great asset to our team.

Rachel brings over 20 years of HR experience to the team and specialises in Human Rights & Ethics.

She supports the training and development of our colleagues along with ensuring internal compliance and best practice.

Rachel also gets the opportunity to liaise with our clients and loves the satisfaction in knowing she is playing a part in getting them the help they deserve.

Josh is a politics and International Relations student at Aston University, he has also studied and worked abroad in both Barcelona and Costa Rica, teaching English. Josh worked in fundraising for Aston University and has also worked as a chef in various restaurants.

Josh is the newest addition to the team; he has been working since a young age and has extensive telecommunications experience. He is a hardworking, driven individual who makes a great addition to our team.

‘I really enjoy the fact that the end of the day I am getting people help, finding people a path out of the conditions which they live in. a lot of the time tenants aren’t listened to and I am happy to be that person’.

Sophie, originally from London, is currently studying BA Film Making at Birmingham City University. She has previously worked in a care home and went travelling throughout Europe and Asia.

Sophie has 6 years-experience in customer service and is incredibly efficient in solving clients’ problems and provides them with the upmost assurance.

Alisha is a valued member of the DIYPI team, specialising in Housing Disrepair. Originally from Liverpool she is currently studying Mathematics BSc at Aston University. Alisha lived in Madrid for a year where she worked as a Data Admissions and Marketing Assistant for a Spanish International School.

Alisha is one of our longest serving members of staff here at DIYPI, her experience with customer service means she is highly skilled and great with problem solving.

Consumer Relations and Research

Sara has worked for DIYPI for a year. She is a Politics and International Relations graduate and finds it important to fight for social justice in all aspects of life.

Sara works across a variety of sectors within DIYPI, including recruitment, training and mentoring staff and responding to client enquiries. Sara also conducts research into various legal sections to ensure the team and clients get a greater understanding of what their journey may entail through the legal process.

Sara has previously worked at two diverse Non-Governmental Organisations in Cambodia and Spain and has experience in communicating with people from all walks of life.

Emily Barlow

Emily is currently studying Psychology BSc at Aston University, she has previously worked in Spain teaching English to students. Emily owns her own small business in her spare time ‘Life of Pots’ where she designs, paints and sells plant pots.

Emily is a key asset to our team; she is trained in a range of different areas and has 3 years customer service experience.

Ellie is currently studying graphic design at The Manchester School of Art, and has a keen interest in fashion research and design. Ellie has 5 years’ experience in customer service within a range of different environments, she is an compassionate member of our team who brings empathy and hard work to all she does.

Ellie is engaged in activism though her arts and sociological research.

Part of my role is seeing people to the successful aspect of the process which I am so happy to be a part of. I love that the team are close and we communicate with each other frequently to ensure that everything gets done quickly and to a high standard.”

Annie, originally from London is currently studying BSc Psychology at Aston University in Birmingham. She spent a year in Spain teaching English to students. Annie has two years’ experience within customer services and has taken on a leadership role in the police cadets. She is a hard-working member of our DIYPI team who has excellent communication skills and efficiency.

Liam is currently studying a BA in Music Industry at Birmingham City University and is the lead guitarist in a band called ‘The Clause’. Liam’s Band has performed at the likes of Isle of Wight Festival and the US festival Lollapalooza.
